A pipe corridor not only "turns waste into treasure" of waste gas and wastewater, but also builds a win-win bridge for enterprises. What's so magical about it?

Walking into the park of Linping Xinao Energy Development Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as "Xinao Energy") in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, a sign of "Zhejiang Province Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction Benchmarking Project" is very eye-catching. What is regarded as a "provincial benchmark" is the "Xinao Energy-Beida Pharmaceutical" ecological environment access industrial waste gas collaborative disposal project.

In May last year, in the conference room of the office building of Linping Xinao No. 3 Pan-Energy Station, several tanks in the Wuzhou Road factory of Beida Pharmaceutical across the wall attracted the interest of the company's technical staff. Everyone put forward an idea: Can we create a scenario where resources are recycled among enterprises in the park?

After exchanges between the two parties, NEN Energy quickly proposed specific cooperation plans, and received strong support and encouragement from the Linping District Government, ecological environment, development and reform departments. So, there was the beginning scene: a pipe connected two companies in series. The pretreated organic waste gas from each workshop of Beida Pharmaceutical was sent to the waste gas main pipe of the plant through a booster fan, and was combined with the unorganized waste gas from sewage stations, hazardous waste warehouses, etc. After being summarized, it was pretreated by "first-level water washing + first-level alkali washing", and then sent to the boiler equipment of Linping Xinao No. 3 Energy Station for high-temperature incineration.

"Beida Pharmaceutical produces VOC waste gas during the production process, which can only be discharged after passing the RTO professional incineration standards. Companies have to pay a large amount of treatment fees every year for this. As an energy supply company that provides steam, heat and comprehensive energy services to enterprises in Linping Economic and Technological Development Zone, these waste gases are just a treasure to ENN Energy and can be used as usable fuel after pretreatment. After treatment, the emission concentration of the exhaust gas has dropped from about 60 mg per cubic meter to less than 5 mg per cubic meter, which is almost net zero emissions." He Yong, chief engineer of NEI Energy, said that this is not only a "win-win" for the two companies, but also a new regional emission target capacity for Linping Economic and Technological Development Zone, and there is also a broader space for enterprise development.

This project can save natural gas consumption by 603,000 cubic meters per year, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2,307.8 tons per year, and save costs by approximately 2.8 million yuan per year. This is just a microcosm of ENN Energy's "intensive cultivation" on the road to green innovation. In recent years, the company has continuously promoted the coordinated development of pollution reduction and carbon reduction by cultivating new productivity.

In the company park, three large-scale reclaimed water reuse tanks are particularly eye-catching. In its daily operations, ENN Energy produces 150,000 tons of concentrated water (wastewater, sewage and waste liquid generated in industrial production) every year. Due to the high hardness of the water quality, it is no longer usable and can only discharge it in vain. But in fact, this concentrated water can be supplied to downstream companies after being softened. After some investigation, NEN Energy found that the printing and dyeing enterprises in the park had water needs.

For example, Zhejiang Xidebao Silk Technology Co., Ltd. is a silk weaving and printing and dyeing enterprise. The printing and dyeing process requires a large amount of industrial water. Due to the limitations of water intake indicators, the company's production wastewater requires complex processes for treatment and reuse, which is costly and has low recovery rate. Xinao Energy has built a reclaimed water transportation pipe network system with a pipeline distance of 1.5 kilometers. It outputs concentrated water from the back end of the RO reverse osmosis water treatment system in the station to the user side and carries out corresponding softening treatment, which just makes up for Xidebao's water shortage.

At the same time, ENN Energy has also built a smart water recycling network, using a digital and intelligent platform to achieve flexible scheduling and matching of demand and supply, reduce the water costs of enterprises in the park, solve the problem of water volume indicators in the park, and provide space for green and sustainable development. Today, a "reclaimed water network" that radiates water companies around the park is on the verge of emerging.

At present, NEN Energy is planning to continue to expand and extend the collaborative treatment project of waste gas and wastewater as a replicable case. Together with the construction of pipe networks, it will radiate to more enterprises in Linping Economic and Technological Development Zone and make greater contributions to the region's pollution reduction and carbon reduction work.
