Recently, Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy) successfully obtained the province's first hydrogen energy heavy truck ETC at Shaanxi Transportation Control Yulin South Toll Station ETC distribution service outlet, which means that Shaanxi Province can fully waive highway tolls in the province, marking a solid step forward in the green and low-carbon transformation of hydrogen transportation.
"The unit transportation cost of fuel cell vehicles is higher than that of the same type of fuel vehicles. Reducing and waiving high-speed tolls will greatly reduce the unit transportation cost of fuel cell vehicles. At present, our own skid-mounted (Shuanghe) hydrogen refueling station has carried out comprehensive demonstration operations of capacity scenarios. It is understood that at present, there are about 150,000 fuel and gas trucks engaged in the transportation of energy and chemical products in Shaanxi Province. The unique alpine and heavy-duty short-haul transportation is an ideal application scenario for fuel cell heavy trucks. In August this year, Shaanxi Province issued the "Notice on Supporting the Development of Expressway Distributed Photovoltaic, Hydrogen Fuel Filling Stations and the Traffic of Hydrogen Energy Vehicles", clarifying that from September 1, 2024 to September 1, 2027, Hydrogen energy vehicles installed and using ETC equipment will be fully exempted from highway tolls in the province. After the policy was released, Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy actively participated in the construction of the hydrogen energy cloud service platform in Shaanxi Province. It took two months to open up the entire process of enterprise registration, model registration, vehicle registration and data upload, certification, and ETC processing.
