"Using biological carbon sequestration technology, we can reduce carbon and increase oxygen by enhancing plant photosynthesis." "Disused straw can not only be made into diesel and methanol, but also into clothes." "Prefabricated buildings are built faster and more efficiently."...

The 2024 Tianshan North and South Academician Journey·Ecological Security and Life Health series activities were launched recently. As one of the series of activities, in the afternoon of that day, a special academic report on ecological health and the development of new quality productivity was held at the branch venue of Xinjiang Agricultural University. Four academicians and experts gave thematic reports focusing on the cutting-edge research results and industry trends of relevant industries to discuss the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region's role in ecological health.

Hou Tianzhen, an academician of the United Nations International Academy of Ecology and Life Safety Sciences, is an advocate and practitioner of the new concept of "physical agriculture", and is also the founder and founder of plant meridians and plant traditional Chinese medicine. In a report titled "Digital Intelligent Ecological Physical Agriculture", Hou Tianzhen said that biological carbon sequestration technology can be applied in terrestrial ecosystems such as farmland, forest land, and grassland to enhance plant photosynthesis, improve light energy utilization and reduce carbon emissions., and ultimately create economic value through carbon trading.

"Prefabricated buildings are buildings assembled at the construction site with prefabricated parts or modular unit parts. They are characterized by high speed and short construction period." Yin Boyue, Executive Vice President of the Chinese Academy of the United Nations International Academy of Ecological Life Safety Sciences, gave a speech on the development of the prefabricated building industry chain.

Yin Boyue said that Xinjiang's prefabricated construction industry chain is rapidly moving overseas. At present, China is leading the formulation of international standards for prefabricated buildings, which ensures the quality and compatibility of related products and enhances the competitiveness of products in the global market. Xinjiang's geographical and resource advantages not only provide guarantees for the efficient transportation of prefabricated building materials and components, but also provide opportunities for Xinjiang to efficiently expand the international market.

Peng Fei is an academician of the United Nations International Academy of Ecological Life Safety Sciences and the chairman of the National Straw Industry Development Alliance. Peng Fei said: "Xinjiang has a wide variety of crop straws and are widely distributed. Taking cotton straw as an example, the annual output exceeds 10 million tons. With the deepening of ecological and environmental protection concepts and continuous advancement of technology, straw has been made into more than 300 products such as environmentally friendly tableware, diesel, polylactic acid, and carbon. Xinjiang has broad development prospects in this field."

Jiang Ping 'an, president of Xinjiang Agricultural University, said: "The report of academicians and experts provides us with new ideas and perspectives for conducting scientific research. Agricultural University will give full play to its advantages in scientific research innovation, talent introduction, cultural inheritance, international cooperation and exchanges, etc., and strive to cultivate More new agricultural and forestry talents."
