Improving the carbon emission accounting verification mechanism is of great significance to promoting the construction of the international carbon market and accelerating the construction of an international green and low-carbon supply chain. On October 31, in order to strengthen international cooperation and development in the field of carbon accounting verification, China Quality Certification Center joined hands with multinational technical institutions and enterprises to jointly initiate the establishment of the International Carbon Accounting Verification Council (ICAVC), and held its establishment ceremony in Beijing.

The International Carbon Accounting Verification Council is organized by China Quality Certification Center in conjunction with TÜV SÜD Certification and Testing (China) Co., Ltd.、DNV Business Assurance China Co., Ltd.、Korean Foundation for Quality, SCS Global Services, China Aviation Group Co., Ltd., China Green Development Investment Group Co., Ltd., State Power Investment Corporation Integrated Smart Energy Co., Ltd., Chint Group R & D Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Daikin Air Conditioning (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., 10 units of the China-UK Carbon Governance Committee of the China Construction Industry Council for the Promotion of International Trade jointly initiated the establishment.
It is understood that the International Carbon Accounting Verification Council aims to work together to promote the technical progress and business development of carbon accounting verification by organizing domestic and international carbon accounting verification technical exchanges, project cooperation, special research, standard formulation, and achievement promotion, and accelerate the dissemination of carbon accounting verification technology and experience to improve the carbon accounting verification capabilities and quality of all parties. At the same time, we will be committed to promoting multilateral and bilateral mutual recognition of accounting verification results and international mutual recognition of supply chain carbon footprints, assisting the construction of international carbon markets, and accelerating the creation of an international green and low-carbon supply chain.
