Recently, in Fukang City, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with the order to load red coke, the 170-ton/hour dry quenching project of Fukang City Yongxin Coal Chemical Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Yongxin Coal Chemical) was successfully loaded into the first can of red coke, marking that the company has taken an important step in energy conservation, carbon reduction and environmental protection and ultra-low emissions. This is the first dry quenching project built and put into use by a private enterprise in the autonomous region.
"We have gone through early commissioning, single-machine linkage commissioning, warm air drying, and are now in the trial production stage." Tang Haijiang, director of the dry quenching workshop of Yongxin Coal Chemical Industry, said that the project uses dry coke quenching technology and uses inert gas to cool the red coke. Compared with the past water-wet coke quenching, a large amount of water vapor will not be generated during coke quenching, and harmful substances such as coke powder, phenols, and sulfides contained therein will disappear. At the same time, dry coke quenching technology recovers waste heat from red coke, generates electricity in the form of steam and utilizes it, greatly improving energy utilization efficiency. The supporting 240 tons/hour reclaimed water reuse system uses coking wastewater to produce circulating water, boiler water and other systems through pretreatment, membrane concentration and other links, achieving zero emission of coking wastewater.
Construction of the project started in August 2022, with a total investment of 250 million yuan, building a 170-ton/hour dry quenching device and a 90-ton waste heat boiler, supporting the construction of 20-megawatt generating units and 240-ton/hour reclaimed water recycling treatment system project.
Ma Wei, general manager of Yongxin Coal Chemical Industry, said: "After the dry quenching project is put into operation, the annual power generation will reach 170 million kilowatt hours, which can save 1.7 million tons of water and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 85,000 tons per year."
Fukang City actively implements the deployment of air pollution prevention and control in the "Wu-Chang-Shi" region and encourages enterprises to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the industrial structure. In recent years, Fukang City Yongxin Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. has taken the initiative to shut down two 4.3-meter coke ovens with backward production capacity, increased the upgrading and transformation of the original environmental protection equipment, and invested 160 million yuan in coke oven flue gas, material greenhouses, etc. Construction and transformation. At present, the project has been fully put into operation.
