As one of the important contents of "good houses", green and low-carbon has been placed in the first place in the development of the construction field in recent years.
The construction sector is one of the industries with the highest carbon emissions, and it is a must for megacities to protect the lucid waters and lush mountains and the people's better life by transforming from a large carbon emitter and energy consumer to a low-carbon and energy-saving environment, and injecting green momentum into high-quality development. In recent years, Beijing has adhered to systematic planning and classified policies, steadily promoted the low-carbon construction sector, promoted the green and low-carbon transformation of production methods and lifestyles, actively guided the public's green consumption in real estate, and promoted the construction industry to "go green" with the first good standard. As of 2023, Beijing has achieved more than 80% of all civil buildings in terms of energy-efficient buildings, ranking first in the country, and has completed nearly 200 million square meters of green construction area.
