In order to encourage local governments to explore green and low-carbon development paths according to local conditions, since 2010, my country has carried out 81 low-carbon city pilot projects in three batches, covering cities (districts, counties) with different regions, different development levels, different resource endowments and work bases. As the country's first batch of low-carbon pilot cities, as well as an innovation demonstration zone for the National Sustainable Development Agenda, a demonstration city for ecological civilization construction, a pilot city for reaching carbon peak, and a pilot city for dual control of energy consumption to dual control of carbon emissions, Shenzhen has embarked on a green path. New path to development.

Shenzhen carbon trading market continues to develop
As the first carbon market to open in the country and even developing countries, Shenzhen's carbon market has gone through a vibrant decade and has achieved remarkable results in green development: the quota transfer rate has ranked first in the national carbon trading pilot for many consecutive years, with a total of 737 key emission units, with a cumulative market transaction volume of 100 million tons and a transaction volume of 2.3 billion yuan.
Green finance reaches a new level
In 2023, Shenzhen's green credit balance will exceed RMB 910 billion; efforts will be made to develop carbon finance and carry out cross-border carbon asset repurchase and carbon asset securitization projects. The scale of carbon asset pledge financing will reach RMB 298 million.
Steady construction of a high-standard carbon inclusive system
At present, the carbon inclusive system has covered 6 million users. Carbon inclusive application scenarios such as low-carbon public travel, low-carbon electricity consumption for residents, and bicycle sharing have been established. The first batch of carbon inclusive emission reductions of more than 50,000 tons has been issued. In Guangdong Province, Guangdong Province's first alternative restoration case of carbon inclusive ecological and environmental damage, the role of carbon inclusive in promoting green production and lifestyle is gradually emerging.
Climate investment and financing reform continues to advance
Futian District was selected as one of the first batch of climate investment and financing pilots in the country, and released two batches of 196 climate investment and financing projects, with financing needs of 41.1 billion yuan and an estimated reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by 5.91 million tons. Climate investment and financing reform has been promoted nationwide twice by the National Development and Reform Commission.

In 2022, the "Shenzhen 14th Five-Year Plan for Addressing Climate Change" clarifies the overall work path to address climate change during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. The "Shenzhen City Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction Synergy Implementation Plan" has effectively promoted the city's active exploration in the field of synergy and efficiency of pollution reduction and carbon reduction; the "Shenzhen Carbon Trading Implementation Plan to Support Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutralization" further activates carbon trading. The role of a market mechanism in promoting social green and low-carbon transformation; the "Shenzhen City Large-scale Activities Carbon Neutralization Implementation Plan" has taken the lead in building a "2+N+3" carbon neutrality working system for large-scale activities.

It only takes 10 minutes to drive through the Dameisha Tunnel to Biosphere 3. "Biosphere No. 3" is located in Dameisha Community, Yantian, with a total construction area of 120,000 square meters. In August 2023, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced the selection list of typical green and low-carbon cases in 2022. The "Biosphere No. 3" Dameisha Vanke Center Carbon Neutralization Experimental Park in Yantian District, Shenzhen was successfully selected. This is also the only low-carbon park case selected in Guangdong Province.

The Heishui Taban Station and the Roof Garden reflect the use of biodiversity in the Vanke Center Carbon Neutralization Experimental Park. "Black water flies" are the "working insects" at the Black water flies station. They are representatives of the practical application of small-scale biological treatment technology for organic waste. The Heishui Taban Station forms an organic circulation chain with aerobic compost, roof gardens, etc., realizing the resource transformation of organic waste in the park.
As an integral part of the Dameisha Sports Health Laboratory, Glacier Climbing Wall undertakes the research, analysis, publicity and promotion of sports health. The design of the Glacier Climbing Wall is inspired by melted glaciers. The entire Climbing Wall looks like a natural mountain, with a maximum climbing height of 35 meters. It is the largest and highest Climbing Wall in Guangdong. Glacier climbing walls not only provide citizens with a sports venue, but also convey the environmental protection concept of concern for climate change.

Shenzhen Zero Carbon Science Popularization Theme Park
Shenzhen's zero-carbon science popularization theme park and zero-carbon living hall are a good place for leisure and play, and are also a place to practice environmental protection concepts. Scenic spots such as Shuishi Forest, Wind Valley, leisure area in the park and hiking plank road each exudes unique charm and makes people forget to leave.
Shenzhen Zero Carbon Park is located in the core area of Shenzhen International Low-Carbon City, covering an area of approximately 185,000 square meters. Its function is positioned as an urban park for ecological tours, fitness, carbon sink science popularization, and interactive experience.
After crossing the bridge, you will reach the Shuishi Forest, which is composed of an unpowered water park, wooden pile climbing challenge sand and a low-level climbing slide area. If the water is shallow, you can bring water toys such as water guns and wading suits to catch small tadpoles.
Hidden in the zero-carbon park is a quiet and comfortable leisure area. It is a good place for tourists to relax due to the tree-lined trees and fragrant flowers.
In the leisure area, there are various comfortable leisure facilities, such as benches, pavilions, children's play areas, etc.
Sit down quietly and enjoy the tranquility and comfort; or take the children to play in the play area and feel the warmth and happiness of the family.
If you like hiking and adventure, then the hiking trails in the zero-carbon park must not be missed. This plank road twists and turns through the entire park, and you can enjoy various beautiful natural landscapes along the way.
This trail is made of local materials, using recycled wood and stones. Go to the top of the mountain along the way and look around the entire valley from the observation deck.
The Green Science and Zero-Carbon Living Museum building has a total of five floors (B1 multi-functional exhibition hall-L1 art exhibition hall-L2 public exhibition hall-L3 outdoor leisure platform-L4 Qingdan·Cloud Home). At present, Shenzhen is accelerating the construction of "near-zero carbon" cities. It has successively identified three batches of 88 near-zero carbon emission zone pilot areas, including 5 regional, 14 park, 5 community, 16 campus, and construction. There are 32 projects and 16 enterprises.
