On Guangyang Island in Chongqing in autumn, the cool breeze blows and tourists are crowded. Taking advantage of the National Day, the Guangyang Island International Convention Center has become a new check-in point for citizens coming here for leisure. Not long ago, the Guangyang Island International Convention Center successfully passed the review of the expert review meeting for the identification of three-star green buildings in Chongqing City. This is the first three-star green building project to pass the review after the introduction of the new standard of Chongqing's "Green Building Evaluation Standards" DBJ50/T-066-2020. It will be identified subsequently by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
Making buildings "green" has become a new trend in the transformation and development of the construction industry. The relevant person in charge of the Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee of Chongqing City told reporters that in recent years, Chongqing has accelerated the promotion of green development of urban and rural construction and actively explored high-quality development models of green buildings. Data show that since the "14th Five-Year Plan", new urban civil buildings have been fully implemented during the design stage. Green building standards have been fully implemented, nearly 150 million square meters of green buildings have been completed, and 15.43 million square meters of high-star green building projects represented by the Guangyang Island International Conference Center have been organized and implemented.
It is understood that Guangyang Island International Conference Center is located on the north side of Guangyang Island, covering an area of 180,000 square meters and a construction area of 75,000 square meters. It includes functions such as conferences, conferences, exhibitions and supporting hotels, presenting a group of unique regional characteristics and China's traditional space interesting pattern.
The project utilizes the river water source renewable energy system, the "one water for four uses" circulation system, the "spaceship-type" island-wide solid waste recycling system, the pipeline direct drinking water system, as well as the ecological restoration and reuse of abandoned sites, and the use of waste building materials, so that the island's resources are fully recycled. At the same time, the project also adopts multiple green and low-carbon systems such as multi-building sunshade systems, high-assembly-rate buildings, full-life cycle carbon emission analysis and control, three-star green building materials, and "five-carbon-in-one" building materials carbon sensing systems.
Today, the Guangyang Island International Conference Center has formed a centralized demonstration of "three-star green buildings + three-star demonstration of healthy buildings + ultra-low energy consumption buildings", becoming an important carrier and model benchmark for the island to practice ecological priority, green, low-carbon, and healthy development.
In fact, in recent years, green buildings in Chongqing City are growing by leaps and bounds. According to statistics, a total of 278 million square meters of green buildings have been built in Chongqing City.
The relevant person in charge of the Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee of Chongqing City also told reporters that according to the plan, by 2025, the proportion of star-rated green buildings in Chongqing will reach 30%, and the application area of renewable energy buildings will increase by more than 2 million square meters compared with 2023.
