Recently, when I walked into Xinjiang Dunhua Green Carbon Technology Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as "Xinjiang Dunhua"), two giant metal spherical storage tanks shone brightly under the sun. Cao Yuming, deputy director of the company, said: "We are a CCUS company. These two metal spherical tanks are used to store liquid carbon dioxide, each with a capacity of 1000 cubic meters and an annual operating income of 45 million yuan."
In the Dunhua green carbon production workshop where production is carried out, the clean factory buildings, brand-new equipment, and the power distribution operation boxes neatly arranged next to each equipment are eye-catching. Transportation, refining, testing, filling and other operations are carried out in an orderly manner under the constant speed of the buzzing motor.
Cao Yuming said that Xinjiang Dunhua is the first "carbon capture" enterprise introduced by the Zhundong Development Zone. It has been recognized as an "enterprise technology center" and a "specialized, specialized and innovative" enterprise by the Autonomous Region Department of Industry and Information Technology, and has set a "low-carbon role model" in low-carbon China. It was rated as a "low-carbon enterprise". The company is committed to energy conservation and emission reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement, and environmental protection in the petroleum and chemical industries. It focuses on the "double carbon" goal, advocates the concepts of green, low-carbon, economic and sustainable development, and relies on its own technology, product and equipment advantages and rich practical experience to provide customers with technical services such as targeted full-chain CCUS scheme design and energy use status diagnosis, energy-saving project design and transformation, and oilfield tertiary oil recovery and gas injection (CO2, N2).
Xinjiang Dunhua relies on the low-temperature methanol washing section of Xinjiang Yihua Chemical Co., Ltd. to capture high-concentration carbon dioxide tail gas for high-precision purification, pressurization, cooling and other links to form liquid carbon dioxide, store it in tanks, and then transport it to surrounding oil fields through tankers. Oil displacement.
"The first phase of the project will be 150,000 tons/year and will be commissioned and put into operation at the end of June 2024. It will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 150,000 tons per year, equivalent to planting nearly 1.35 million trees." Yu Yanjie, director of the Environmental Protection Bureau of Zhundong Development Zone, said.
CCUS, full name Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage, refers to a technology that can be effectively used to capture carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide emitted during the production process can be captured, sealed, or purified and put into new production processes for recycling. It is the only means so far that can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions from industrial processes and is also a key to addressing global climate change. One of the technologies.
It is understood that at present, my country's carbon dioxide capture and oil displacement and storage technology is mainly tested in inefficient and near-abandoned oil areas, and the stage oil change rate is greater than 0.25 tons of oil/ton of carbon dioxide. The commissioning of this project has effectively reduced the carbon dioxide emissions of industrial enterprises in Zhundong Development Zone. It can also be used to drive oil in oil fields, increase oil production rates, and achieve a double harvest of "reducing carbon and increasing oil".
