On July 1, the Yijite New Energy Vehicle Roof Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation Project located in Shiyan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hubei Province was officially connected to the grid for power generation.

The project is invested by Shiyan Agricultural Development Investment Group Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shiyan Industrial Investment Group, and undertaken by Chuangtuo Holding Group Co., Ltd. The total investment of the project is 85.3 million yuan, the installed capacity is 11.76 MW, and the grid-connected voltage level is 10 kV.

"Conventional photovoltaic modules weigh 20 to 30 kilograms per square meter. In order to meet the project implementation conditions, we innovatively use flexible photovoltaic modules, weighing 4 to 5 kilograms per square meter, and the power is not reduced." Zhang Qiang, head of the engineering department of Chuangtuo Holding Group Co., Ltd., introduced.

It is understood that the total roof area of the Yijite Automobile Factory is about 120,000 square meters. Shiyan Industrial Investment Group used existing idle space resources to invest in the construction of distributed photovoltaic power stations, using about 26000 flexible photovoltaic modules. The power station adopts the "spontaneous self-use, surplus electricity is connected to the Internet" model. It is expected to generate 13 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, save 416.28 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1,138.52 tons and sulfur dioxide emissions by 2.54 tons annually.
