Recently, the exhibition hall of State Grid's "Green Electric Ark" social responsibility brand project was unveiled in Baishanzu National Park in Lishui City, Zhejiang Province. This project solves the problem of mutual constraints between power grid construction and ecological protection, and provides green power support for the protection of rare species in remote areas. At present, the project has been extended to five district-based cities in Zhejiang Province and provinces such as Fujian and Xinjiang.
It is reported that the "Green Electric Ark" social responsibility brand project was jointly initiated by the State Grid Charity Foundation and the China Environmental Protection Foundation, and will be the first choice for implementation in Zhejiang in 2022. "Most rare species live in inaccessible mountainous islands, and a series of human protection measures such as observation, attraction, and research require electricity support." The relevant person in charge of the Brand Department of the Propaganda Department of the State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Party Committee said that in order to solve the power supply problem without minimizing the impact on the environment, Zhejiang has explored the protection path of "microgrid construction for electrical equipment related to biodiversity conservation".
In Qianjiangyuan-Baishanzu National Park, the breeding base of the Baishanzu Protection Station of the Qingyuan Conservation Center is equipped with digital smart facilities, and monitoring, fire-fighting and other facilities put forward higher requirements for power supply. To this end, in the core area of the Qingyuan area of the park, an ecological zero-carbon microgrid has been built. By connecting photovoltaic, energy storage and power equipment in series, 100% green electricity has been spontaneously used here, and it can operate independently for more than 2 hours in large power grids. In case of abnormal circumstances, it is reliable and environmentally friendly.
A microgrid is like an ark. Today, the "Green Electric Ark" social responsibility brand project has provided green power support for rare species such as the Chinese crested tern, black-faced spoonbill, black stork, rolled-feathered pelicans, and hooded cranes in Wuzhishan Islands in Zhoushan and Taizhou Xuanmen Bay Wetland. It has also been implemented in Fuzhou Minjiang Estuary Nature Reserve and Urumqi Bainiao Lake Wetland.
In addition, relying on this project, the power department, together with the forestry, ecological environment and other departments of Lishui City, established the Baishanzu National Park Biodiversity Conservation Alliance to give full play to the effectiveness of government-enterprise linkage and carry out local actions such as reducing carbon emissions, reducing land occupation, and reducing human activities and increasing humanistic attention to jointly help Zhejiang's biodiversity conservation.
