Guangxi Nanning Pumped Storage Power Station is under construction

The construction site scene of the Lower Reservoir of Nanning Pumped Storage Power Station was taken in Junzhi Village, Taiping Town, Wuming District, NanNing City, Guangxi on September 1, 2024. Guangxi's first pumped storage power project, Nanning Pumped Storage Power Station, is currently under intensive construction. The construction of various construction projects is advancing in an orderly manner. The project is planned to be fully completed and put into operation by the end of 2025. The energy storage power station is expected to have an installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts. By efficiently converting the mechanical energy of water into electrical energy, it can generate 2.5 billion kilowatts of clean electricity every year, and correspondingly reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1.9 million tons.
