Recently, the first sewage source heat pump central heating project in Fengdong New City, Xixian New District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, has completed the retirement water project of the Cheliu Village Comprehensive Reconstruction and Resettlement Community Heating Project, and the project construction has entered the final sprint stage.
According to reports, the heating project of Cheliu Village Comprehensive Reconstruction and Resettlement Community is located north of Sanqiao New Street in Fengdong New City and west of Afang Road, with a total construction area of about 226,000 square meters and a heating area of about 149,000 square meters. As an important supporting project for the comprehensive renovation and resettlement community of Cheliu Village, sewage source heat pump technology is mainly used to meet residents 'winter heating needs. The construction content includes integrated upgrading of pumping stations, retired water pipelines and heat exchange station equipment installation.

Simply put, the sewage source heat pump heating technology extracts the heat contained in sewage and then uses the heat pump unit to allow this energy to achieve winter heating. The principle is similar to that of household air conditioners. The difference is that air conditioners use electricity to drive air compressors to extract energy from the air for cooling and heating, while sewage source heat pumps extract energy from sewage for cooling and heating.
Generally speaking, the sewage in the pipe network can reach about 14℃-16 ℃ in winter and about 18℃-22 ℃ in summer. That is to say, the sewage source heat pump can not only heat in winter, but also cool in summer. It is called "sewage air conditioning".
After the completion of the project, it is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 677.2 tons per year, which will effectively improve the operation level of Fengdong New City's heat pipe network and achieve the organic unity of high efficiency, energy conservation and environmental protection benefits. At present, the construction of the integrated lifting pump station and front-end water collection well of the project has been completed, and it is expected that they will be fully completed by the end of October and will have heating operation conditions.
