Recently, the China Gaoqing Fluorine Chemical High-Quality Development Conference and Fluorine Chemical Implementation Work Conference were held in Gaoqing County, Zibo, Shandong Province. The meeting proposed that the fluorine chemical industry should deeply analyze the shortcomings existing in current development, do a good job in "double control" of carbon emissions, and improve the mechanism to implement international conventions and create good conditions for green transformation.

Zhou Xianhui, chairman of the China Chemical Industry and Environmental Protection Association, believes that the domestic fluorine chemical industry still faces great pressure to achieve green transformation and smooth compliance, such as the urgent need to update production models, the need to strengthen awareness of energy conservation and emission reduction, and insufficient high-end production capacity.

Zhou Xianhui suggested that the fluorine chemical industry should practice hard "internal skills" and continuously strengthen source control and total control of carbon emissions. Promote transformation and upgrading through resource optimization, and promote the high-end transformation of the fluorine chemical industry in terms of product varieties, processing technologies, application formulas, equipment supporting, etc.; stabilize production and operation through safety and environmental protection, vigorously implement environmental protection improvement technological transformation activities, and effectively prevent and resolve various risks. Challenge; use technological innovation to help implement international conventions, and accelerate the development and application of alternatives and alternative technologies for phased out and controlled substances such as PFOS, PFOA, and HFCs.

Regarding the international development situation, Hu Jianxin, a professor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Peking University, believes that as the climate crisis intensifies, the world will face stricter emission reduction needs. By 2035, the international community may propose higher goals for China's fluorine-containing gas emission reduction.

"Relevant departments must continue to implement Multilateral Fund projects, actively seek approval of planned funds, and work with enterprises to explore applicable performance mechanisms under the new situation." Shang Shuwen, deputy director of the Implementation Division 1 of the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, said.

Zheng Wenru, deputy director and expert of the Green Development Research Department of Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction of the Center for Foreign Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, mentioned that statistical surveys on the production, use and import and export of ozone-depleting substances and fluorine-containing gases are an important source of data for accurately understanding the production and use of fluorine-containing gases and formulating relevant control measures and the compilation of national greenhouse gas inventories.

Mei Shengfang, secretary-general of the Fluorine Chemical Industry Special Committee of the China Chemical Industry and Environmental Protection Association, said that next, the special committee will establish a statistical working mechanism for HFCs, SF6, PFCs, NF3 and other fluorine-containing gases, and carry out monthly and annual statistical work on production data; Assist relevant departments in formulating the 2025 HFCs allocation plan; focus on carrying out research on the environmental and economic impact of PFOA substitution on the fluorine chemical industry to promote the sustained and healthy development of the fluorine chemical industry.

This meeting was co-sponsored by the China Chemical Environmental Protection Association and the People's Government of Gaoqing County, and was organized by the Fluorine Chemical Professional Committee of the China Chemical Environmental Protection Association, Shandong Gaoqing Economic Development Zone Management Committee, and Zibo Feiyuan Chemical Co., Ltd.
