As an important part of the automobile related industry, the automobile repair industry plays an important role in the construction of a "waste-free city". It is understood that in 2023, the Waste Free Office of Tianhe District will take the lead in issuing the "Construction Guide for" Waste-Free Auto Repair Shops (Including 4S Shops)"in the city to draw up a new development blueprint for the auto repair industry, enhance industry awareness through special training sessions, and provide comprehensive online and offline guidance to ensure effectiveness, promote the reduction, recycling and harmlessness of solid waste in the auto repair industry, and cultivate high-quality and distinctive waste-free auto repair shops and 4S shops.
How to achieve "waste-free auto repair"? In practice, Tianhe District first focuses on standardized management of hazardous wastes and "waste-free" services. Strictly implement hazardous waste management regulations, set up solid waste temporary storage points on each floor of the workshop, store different types of hazardous waste in closed containers in classification, and transport them in a timely manner. Actively respond to the technical specifications for setting hazardous waste identification signs, and post hazardous waste labels, logos and storage zoning signs in accordance with the latest hazardous waste management regulations to achieve standardized management of solid waste. Advocate "waste-free" services, not proactively provide disposable vehicle supplies when selling or maintaining vehicles, promote the use of energy-saving auto parts, new energy vehicle charging services, etc., and actively guide consumers to join the "waste-free city" construction campaign.
Focus on priority source reduction, full resource utilization and environmental pollution prevention and control. Set up an automatic oil supply system, and pump oil directly to the maintenance station through the oil pipe network to reduce the risk of oil leakage, reduce the generation of oily waste, and achieve the goal of "reduction"; add light-transmitting roof tiles in the workshop to make full use of natural light sources. Save energy consumption; recycle fresh engine oil, gear oil, direction engine oil and other raw materials remaining during vehicle maintenance, properly preserve and utilize them, and promote resource recycling; Actively implement all-water-based products from the source and promote the use of water-based paints in automobile maintenance business. Adopt a third-party independently audited carbon audit to provide a basis for carbon management, improve energy efficiency through various measures and reduce carbon emissions by 27.47 tons/year. In addition, integrate the construction of "waste-free cities" into every aspect of work and life. For example, customers are invited to carry out tree planting activities to guide people to establish the concept of "loving and protecting green" in practical experience activities to help build a "waste-free city"; food donation activities are held to call on everyone to reduce food waste and give more to vulnerable groups in society. Support and care to promote the realization of a "waste-free city" co-construction and sharing atmosphere; Call on car owners and employees to participate in protecting mangroves and build beautiful homes together. Through ecological restoration and scientific management and management of mangroves, we practice the concept of "no waste" and achieve a carbon sequestration capacity of about 35 tons, truly achieving "reducing the burden on the city."
