The reporter learned from CRRC China that the 1000kW internal electric hybrid locomotive developed by CRRC Dalian Company was rolled off the production line in Dalian. According to reports, the locomotive uses a highly integrated diesel generator unit and a large-capacity power battery as its power source and has power redundancy functions. Locomotive operation is mainly based on power batteries, which greatly reduces diesel fuel consumption and emissions. At the same time, diesel engines meet charging and traction requirements to ensure reliable use of locomotives. The locomotive is also equipped with an advanced microcomputer control system, a main-auxiliary integrated traction converter and a microcomputer controlled braking system. It is characterized by high efficiency, safety, and functional expansion. Remote driving and automatic driving can be realized according to the characteristics of transportation conditions.
On June 28 this year, CRRC released a series of new energy locomotives for the first time around the world. Compared with traditional diesel locomotives, the series of new energy locomotives has achieved an overall reduction in pollutant emissions. The "internal combustion engine + power battery" locomotive achieves nitrogen oxide emission reductions of 45%, hydrocarbons emission reductions of 73%, and carbon monoxide emission reductions of 83%. Based on a 45% reduction in pollutant emissions, a new energy locomotive can reduce the emission of harmful substances by 4 tons and reduce carbon emissions by 374 tons per year, equivalent to planting 34000 trees.
