Recently, the largest "photovoltaic + sewage treatment" project in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province-the 5.72MW distributed photovoltaic power station project of the Second Sewage Treatment Plant of Suzhou Industrial Park was officially connected to the grid, completing the upgrade of version 2.0 of the "Garden-style Sewage Treatment Plant". It is expected to save 1743 tons of standard coal and reduce 3486 tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year.
How to transform "big power consumers" into "power generation masters"? The Second Sewage Treatment Plant of Suzhou Industrial Park uses the area's approximately 44,000 high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules to lay 10400 550Wp high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules above the reaction tank and the roof of the building. It is estimated that the average annual power generation capacity will be approximately 5.81 million kilowatt-hours, basically realizing on-site consumption, achieving the dual effects of reducing pollution and reducing carbon.
In view of the problem of large spans of some structures and insufficient space for pool surface construction, this sewage treatment plant photovoltaic project uses flexible brackets to lay photovoltaic modules above the pool body of the sewage plant. The brackets are nearly 8 meters above the ground, ensuring dual-track operation of photovoltaic and water. No impact.
In addition, by adopting the construction model of "rigid brackets + flexible brackets + roof photovoltaic", the project makes the greatest use of the buildable area of the factory area. At the same time, the laid photovoltaic panels can block part of the pool surface, which can effectively inhibit the growth of algae in the water body in the pool and reduce the frequency of manual cleaning.
Thanks to the vast area of the plant and sufficient lighting resources, photovoltaic power generation accounts for 20% of the total electricity consumption of the sewage plant, which not only improves energy utilization efficiency, but also saves the company a lot of operating costs. After the photovoltaic power station project was put into operation, the factory area introduced renewable power supply, changed the nature of energy use, and optimized the energy use structure, which not only promoted the green and low-carbon sewage treatment process, but also greatly assisted the creation of a near-zero carbon infrastructure demonstration zone in the Circular Economy Industrial Park.
According to reports, the Second Sewage Treatment Plant of Suzhou Industrial Park is the first sewage treatment plant in Jiangsu Province built in full accordance with the Taihu Lake Basin sewage discharge standards, with a total treatment capacity of 300,000 tons/day. It mainly collects and treats municipal sewage in the southern area of the park and can operate 24 hours a day.
