Recently, SUEZ signed three strategic partnership agreements with Chinese partners Envision, Chongqing Sanfeng Environment and Dongguan Water Group to further contribute to the ecological transition.

Join hands with Envision to build a zero-carbon battery industrial park in France to accelerate green energy and zero-carbon transformation

SUEZ and Envision signed a memorandum of understanding to form a strategic partnership to jointly create a zero-carbon battery industrial park in France(NZIP)。 The program covers renewable energy supply, battery recycling and digital decarbonization platforms, and aims to promote the development of sustainable electric vehicles and battery storage in France and contribute to Europe's energy transition. While localizing the battery industry, it will help France become the central hub for battery recycling in Europe.

This strategic partnership will not only strengthen SUEZ's battery recycling capacity, but will also accelerate the pace of SUEZ and its customers towards carbon neutrality. As leaders in their respective fields, the partnership between SUEZ and Envision will set a precedent for the development of energy, energy storage and recycling.

Lei Zhang, Founder and CEO of Envision, said: "The strategic partnership with SUEZ to jointly develop a local zero-carbon battery ecosystem in France will allow us to expand our battery manufacturing technology into the recycling sector. Together with SUEZ, we will accelerate the journey to zero carbon by leveraging Envision's renewable energy system solutions and decarbonization platforms. ”

Cooperate with Chongqing Sanfeng Environment to expand global cooperation in waste-to-energy business

SUEZ and Chongqing Sanfeng Environment have signed a new agreement in the field of waste-to-energy, further deepening their strategic partnership. The waste-to-energy power plant uses advanced waste incineration technology to convert residual solid waste into electricity and heat, significantly reducing the amount of solid waste by nearly 90%. This process not only extends the life of landfills, but also reduces fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, thereby promoting local energy recycling and effectively converting solid waste into valuable sustainable energy.

The agreement underscores the commitment of both parties to achieve mutual benefit and promote innovation in the global waste-to-energy sector through complementary advantages of technologies, products and services in the international market.

Liao Gaoshang, Chairman of Chongqing Sanfeng Environment Group, said: "Together with SUEZ, we will give full play to the advantages of both parties, jointly promote the global market layout, create a new situation of high-quality development of Sino-French environmental protection energy cooperation, and contribute more to the innovation and development of the global environmental protection energy industry." ”

Assist Dongguan to build a world-class sludge incineration treatment facility

SUEZ has signed a contract with Dongguan Water Group for the design, procurement and installation of engineering services for the construction of a large-scale sludge separate incineration facility in Dongguan City. The facility will use advanced technology with a designed daily processing capacity of 2,000 tons of municipal sludge and can serve more than 50 sewage treatment plants in the city, making it one of the largest sludge disposal facilities of its kind in the world.

The project, which is expected to be operational in two and a half years, will be able to convert a large amount of municipal sludge into sustainable electricity, generating about 96 million kilowatt hours per year at full load, enough to meet the electricity needs of 400,000 local households for a month. In addition, the project is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 55,000 tonnes per year.

Luo Feng, Executive Director of Shangyuan Environmental Energy Company, a subsidiary of Dongguan Water Group, said: "The Dongguan Sludge Centralized Treatment and Disposal Project is an important measure for the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government to implement the concept of green and low-carbon, highlight the co-governance of slurry and water, fight the battle of water pollution prevention and control, and build a beautiful Dongguan. Our partnership with SUEZ is not only a testament to our commitment and commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development, but also to our expertise and technological innovation in the reduction, harmlessness and recycling of sludge. We look forward to building the Dongguan Sludge Centralized Disposal Project into a world-class demonstration project for sludge reduction and recycling, as well as a low-carbon, green and circular economy." ”

Su Binglan, Chairman and CEO of SUEZ, said: "I am delighted to have signed important cooperation agreements with Envision, Chongqing Sanfeng Environment and Dongguan Water Group in the presence of the Chinese and French Ministers. These collaborations underline SUEZ's strong commitment to supporting both countries' ecological transition and towards a circular economy. We are convinced that by working closely with these strong partners, we can develop our strengths and create value for our customers in France, China and around the world by producing more secondary raw materials and sustainable energy from solid waste and wastewater management. ”
