On April 5, the 2 million kilowatt photovoltaic power generation project of the pilot project of the new energy base in Ulan Bu and the northeast desert of Bayannur City with a total investment of 7.754 billion yuan ended the preliminary work and began to enter the stage of site leveling. The project is scheduled to be connected to the grid for power generation by December 30. After the project is put into operation, nearly 50,000 acres of sandy land can be transformed, with an average annual on-grid electricity of 1.67 billion kWh, which can save 548,800 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1,403,800 tons per year.

At present, Inner Mongolia has preliminarily declared more than 70 projects to promote the three landmark battles of the "Three Norths" project, sand prevention and control, and wind power and photovoltaic integration, with an application fund of about 40 billion yuan, and plans to complete sand prevention and control of more than 15 million mu throughout the year. As of March 20, a total of 66,000 people, more than 7,200 machines were dispatched, and an area of 372,000 acres was started.
