Walking through the Yellow River section in northern Shaanxi, years of hard work have made the ecological environment of the Yellow River Basin here change from "finding green in yellow" to "green, fat, yellow and thin".

Walking into Gaoxigou in northern Shaanxi, the breeze blows the ecological forest, and the dense vegetation and layers of terraced fields dyed green and yellow earth are full of vitality.

Walking into the Shenmu gas field, in the "green and low-carbon intelligent gas production demonstration area" built by Changqing No. 2 Gas Production Plant, rows of photovoltaic panels and "carbon sink forests" of high and low staggered complement each other, becoming the proud "back garden" of gas extractors.

Changqing Gas Production Plant No. 2, located in the middle of the Yellow River Basin, has always been striving to build a "demonstration unit for green development in the Yellow River Basin", taking the initiative to assume the responsibility of improving regional environmental quality, and always taking "building a gas field, improving the environment, building a well station, and adding a piece of green" as the concept of sustainable development We have made efforts to find a new way to coordinate and promote ecological protection and gas field development, and have contributed to the continuous defense of blue sky, clear water and pure land.

Addition cohesion tree prison ecological concept

Let green become the main color of the gas field, and let ecology become the development gene. In 2023 alone, Changqing Gas Production Plant No. 2 will plant a total of 12,000 plants in Yangjiagou Town and other places, covering an area of more than 100 acres. According to statistics, the plant has invested more than 30 million yuan in greening in the past two years, which has been used for soil and water conservation and management in the gas area, so that nearly 500 kilometers of bare yellow sand in the gathering and transportation pipeline network and around the station in the gas field have been covered with green, and the ecosystem has achieved positive succession and virtuous cycle.

Up to now, nearly 45,000 trees have been planted and more than 33,000 acres of green space have been added, which has played a positive role in the improvement of Yulin's ecological environment and maximized natural gas development, ecological protection and social benefits.

In order to further establish the concept of green ecology, Changqing Gas Production Plant No. 2 also firmly grasped the "steering wheel" of ideological leadership, and carried out publicity and education and promotion activities of ecological civilization, green development, energy conservation and consumption reduction in Yulin, Zizhou and Shenmu in turn. Taking the "Safety Production Month", "Energy Conservation Publicity Week" and "World Environment Day" activities as an opportunity, we will carry out environmental pollution prevention and control activities at well sites, gas gathering stations and treatment plants, so that the work consciousness of green carbon reduction, civilization and health will take root in our hearts and be practiced.

Subtractive governance to protect the ecology of gas fields

In the hinterland of the Mu Us Desert in early spring, the grass and trees are waiting for Su. In the mud treatment area of the drilling site, the welded entire impermeable geomembrane blocks the direct contact of the process equipment without landing with the soil, the rock cuttings mud cake after filtering is stacked in an orderly manner, and the separated mud is returned to the system for recycling. At the gas field development site, the process scene of "mud does not fall to the ground" can be seen everywhere.

Resolutely fight the battle of pollution prevention and control, so that the sky is bluer, the water is cleaner, and the ground is greener, which is the firm determination of Changqing No. 2 Gas Production Plant, and it is also a solemn commitment to fulfill the responsibility of state-owned enterprises.

At the beginning of natural gas development, Changqing Gas Production Plant No. 2 rooted the green and low-carbon concept at the source of production and construction, continued to expand the application scale of "one electricity generation, one recovery, and one utilization", and fully applied the process technology of mud non-landing and fracturing fluid recycling, saving 11,700 tons of diesel, recovering 61.01 million cubic meters of natural gas, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 168,700 tons in 2023, which is equivalent to planting about 1,000 hectares of broad-leaved forest.

In order to continue to promote scientific and technological emission reduction and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the production process, Changqing Gas Production Plant No. 2 adheres to the principle of "first slimming down and then fitness", and applies as many as 7 energy-saving and emission reduction technologies in the natural gas production process in accordance with the principle of "energy saving and consumption reduction, collection of all receivables, and return of particles to the warehouse". Four energy-saving and emission reduction technologies, such as VOCs treatment, recovered 68.26 million cubic meters of natural gas last year alone, and the comprehensive energy consumption decreased by 31,000 tons compared with 2022, a decrease of 5%.

Focusing on pollution prevention and control, Changqing Gas Production Plant No. 2 has comprehensively carried out the investigation and management of ecological and environmental risks and hidden dangers, as well as pollution reduction and carbon reduction, and built a "barrier" for safety and environmental protection control. Based on the annual emission control indicators, carry out pollution reduction management, implement self-monitoring of pollutant discharge, focus on the decomposition of the main pollutant emission control indicators in the natural gas production process, realize the fine management of the whole process of environmental protection, and make the emission indicators of natural gas production fully controlled under the premise of safety and environmental protection.

With the three-pronged approach of green construction, energy conservation and emission reduction, and pollution prevention and control, the four large fields of Changqing Gas Production Plant No. 2 will enter the Shaanxi Provincial Reservoir for green mine construction in 2023, and won the title of Excellent Green Creation Unit of Changqing Oilfield.

Multiplicative fission explores transformation and upgrading

Green development, green is the premise, development is the goal.

For the energy industry, the world's traditional energy industry is accelerating into the transformation track. The National Energy Administration issued the "Action Plan for Accelerating the Integrated Development of Oil and Gas Exploration and Development and New Energy", and Changqing No. 2 Gas Production Plant seized the development opportunity, focused on the development of new energy, cultivated new business formats, and accelerated the development of green, low-carbon and intelligent gas production plants.

Combined with the current development reality, Changqing Gas Production Plant No. 2 has formulated the "Green and Low-carbon Production and Construction Plan" at the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the 15th Five-Year Plan, and planned six regional comprehensive energy utilization projects to promote low-carbon transformation and accelerate the overall speed.

On the one hand, we will make every effort to promote clean substitution projects, and carry out the construction of 1.831MW photovoltaic power stations in 15 stations, with a total installed capacity of 2.624MW and an annual power generation capacity of 4.07 million kWh. At the same time, we will actively carry out solar thermal utilization projects, and completely solve the problem of insufficient and unstable hot water supply at production guarantee points through the construction of a new 35kW solar water heating system. Taking the Jiaxian natural gas processing station as an example, through technological transformation, it can save 890,000 kWh of electricity and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 594 tons a year, which is equivalent to planting about 1.6 hectares of broad-leaved forest.

On the other hand, we will comprehensively deepen the integrated development of oil and gas and new energy. Combined with the current situation of gas field development, we will extensively carry out technical research, build demonstration projects, comprehensively promote the "four-in-one" green, low-carbon and intelligent overall layout of wells, stations, treatment plants and shift points, and explore multi-energy integration development channels, so as to achieve "green and low-carbon" and "intelligent development".

It is worth mentioning that in the Shenmu gas field, Changqing Gas Production Plant No. 2 uses the new demonstration mode of "photovoltaic power generation" plus "intelligent monitoring, intelligent control, intelligent injection, and intelligent plunger", which not only reduces the frequency of employee wellhead operations and the natural gas emitted under pressure at the wellhead, but also plants Pinus sylvestris in the open space of the well site, realizing zero-carbon intelligent production at the well site. In the Mizhi gas field, through the optimization and innovation of ground process technology, the application of photoelectric and solar thermal utilization technologies has been strengthened, oil and gas emissions have been eliminated, energy conservation and emission reduction have been realized, and the environmental quality has been effectively improved.

There is no substitute for the ecological environment, and it is difficult to survive if it is not used. On the road to achieving high-quality development, Changqing Gas Production Plant No. 2 will continue to further promote green, low-carbon and intelligent development, paint the gorgeous scenery of blue sky, clear water and green grassland in the eastern part of the Ordos Basin, and contribute to the construction of a beautiful China.
