Walking into the factory, the reporter saw that the words "from a carbon neutral factory" were engraved on each pulsating bottle cap. Photovoltaic power generation facilities are readily available, digital project technology is fully applied, and digital systems such as real-time monitoring, warehouse management, order management and transportation management are available...... Data sharing and interoperability have been fully realized here.

"Actively exploring the path of green development, we continue to optimize the packaging design and improve the process level, so that the amount of plastic used in pulsating bottles continues to decrease, and we have achieved 100% recyclable packaging materials." According to the relevant person in charge of the company, the company has achieved 100% green use by installing rooftop photovoltaic panels and supplementing green power procurement. In October 2020, it was awarded the title of the fifth batch of national green factories by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, passed the three-star (highest) certification of zero waste to landfill, and became a carbon-neutral factory with relevant certifications, setting an example for the green development of the consumer goods industry. Through the purchase of green steam, green electricity, etc., the overall green energy utilization rate of the pulse plant has reached 69% in 2023.

It is understood that in 2023, Danone China Beverages will join hands with nearly 100 upstream and downstream suppliers to jointly launch the "Protect the Earth" carbon reduction initiative, striving to achieve "net-zero carbon emissions across the value chain" by 2050. This year, Danone China Beverages announced the establishment of the "Caring for the Planet" Climate Action Fund, which plans to invest more than RMB 30 million in the next two years to accelerate the process of carbon reduction in the upstream and downstream of the industry chain and lead the green transformation of the food industry.

In the context of global warming and the "dual carbon" goal, carbon peak and carbon neutrality are the only way for green development. As more enterprises accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of the industry, an industrial cluster with large scale, excellent structure, strong innovation, high quality and low energy consumption is accelerating the formation and will contribute to achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
