The Ministry of Ecology and Environment recently released a list of selected green and low-carbon typical cases in 2023. The case of the "Guangxi Nuclear and Radiation Science Popularization Education Base" declared by the Radiation Environment Supervision and Management Station of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (hereinafter referred to as the "Guangxi Radiation Station") was successfully selected as a national typical case of green and low-carbon, becoming one of the 54 selected projects in the country, and the only selected base project in Guangxi.

Guangxi Radiation Station is a national science popularization education base, a national ecological environment science popularization base, an environmental education science popularization base, a green reporter research base, a Guangxi ecological environment publicity and education practice base, and a Guangxi ecological environment science popularization base. In recent years, relying on solid technical strength, we have built a number of science popularization venues such as the Guangxi Nuclear and Radiation Safety Supervision Science Exhibition Hall, Science Popularization Hall, Science Popularization Corridor, Science Popularization Column and Nuclear Safety Cultural Corridor, which are open to the public free of charge. Spread green and low-carbon concepts. Guangxi Radiation Station deeply integrates science and technology and science popularization resources in the nuclear and radiation fields with green and low-carbon public participation practices. In recent years, it has organized and carried out 132 public activities, with nearly 20,000 participants in online activities.

On this basis, the base insists on innovation to make science popularization "come alive" and has produced online Mini programs for the "VR Nuclear Science Popularization Cloud Exhibition Hall" to break through the limitations of region and time and space, allowing the public to enjoy the world of nuclear and radiation science anytime and anywhere. It is estimated that one VR exhibition visit can reduce carbon emissions by 140g. So far, the VR Nuclear Science Cloud Pavilion has received nearly 10,000 views, saving approximately 1.4 tons of carbon emissions.
