"Under the 'double carbon'goal, the application of green big data and basic supporting technologies is an important driving force in promoting the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development. It plays an important role in promoting green and low-carbon development, optimizing resource allocation, and improving industrial efficiency. It has become increasingly prominent, and green big data is the key to promoting innovation and optimizing decision-making." At the press conference, Li Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said that at present, the construction and application of green big data still face many challenges. For example, the foundation for the security of green data assets and the research and development of special tools need to be consolidated. Establish and improve compatible standard systems and laws and regulations, and at the same time strengthen international cooperation and exchanges. The "Zhongchuang Footprints" LCA technology innovation platform combines green, digital, and intelligent content to build a working scenario for green big data technology to serve the research and development, practice, and application of dual-carbon industries under the goal of carbon neutrality. It is an in-depth exploration of green big data. The results reflect the extensive application scenarios of data and the value of deep green data assets.

According to Chi Xiaoguang, founder of the "Zhongchuang Footprints" LCA Technology Innovation Platform and chairman of Beijing Zhongchuang Green Development Technology Co., Ltd., at present, the innovation platform has initially established a coverage of my country based on the current situation of resource and energy utilization and the technical characteristics of product manufacturing processes. Major industrial products and their manufacturing processes have formed background data on basic materials in major industries and production process evaluation data sets of more than 2000 product units, supporting product evaluation, certification, Accounting and carbon neutral supply chain management and other tool systems.

As the co-author of the platform, the National Engineering Laboratory of Industrial Big Data Application Technology (Beijing University of Technology) has focused on the research and development and engineering application of big data technology for multi-dimensional evaluation of China's process industries and products throughout the life cycle since its approval by the National Development and Reform Commission. It is an important research and development base that drives the development of high-performance, energy conservation and emission reduction of my country's bulk basic materials and products, and leads multi-dimensional evaluation technology throughout the life cycle of the process industry.

According to Nie Zuoren, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of Beijing University of Technology, since it took the lead in conducting material life cycle assessment research in China in the 1990s, after nearly 30 years of data accumulation, the National Engineering Laboratory of Industrial Big Data Application Technology has now developed hundreds of Chinese localized commercial data sets of process industry products, covering various bulk basic materials such as steel and non-ferrous metallurgy, building materials and chemicals, as well as basic areas such as energy and transportation. It has been provided to many domestic and foreign institutions, including the China Quality Certification Center.

"Product carbon emission control from a life cycle perspective has become an important task under the current and future 'double carbon' strategy. Strengthen the development of localized databases and life cycle assessment system tools that reflect my country's resource and energy utilization characteristics and manufacturing technology level. It is not only an important technical means to deal with international trade barriers, but also an inherent need for deep emission reduction in my country's key areas, especially industry and manufacturing." Nie Zuoren said that the construction of the "Zhongchuang Footprint" LCA technology innovation platform still requires the joint efforts of various industries and university scientific research institutes. Continuously innovating the life cycle assessment method system that reflects the characteristics of Chinese-style modernization development and consolidating the localized data foundation will play an important and fundamental role in achieving the "Double Carbon" goal.
