Walking into the Jinnan Iron and Steel Plant, you can see neatly arranged distributed photovoltaics everywhere, and the assembled blue photovoltaic panels stretch out on the top of the plant and parking shed, shining in the sun, like a blue ocean. On the sunny side of the walls of the excellent steel plant, galvanizing plant, profile workshop No. 4 and other plants, the construction personnel are using cranes, or welding photovoltaic brackets on the walls, or installing photovoltaic panel components, showing hot construction scenes everywhere.
At the annual work summary and deployment conference held by Jinnan Iron and Steel in early January, a number of new energy projects such as photovoltaic, energy storage, and hydrogen energy were established as the key development direction in 2024. The wall photovoltaic project of the excellent steel plant under construction is one of them. "We will make efficient use of all available resources in the plant, vigorously develop photovoltaic green power, further accelerate green technology innovation, expand the green energy industry, build a green and low-carbon recycling system, and strive to build a long-process green steel benchmark enterprise. Zhang Tianfu, president of Jinnan Iron and Steel, who inspected the construction progress at the site, said.
Up to now, the 350MW of competitive centralized photovoltaic power plants that have been completed and put into operation outside the Jinnan Iron and Steel Plant have all been connected to the grid for power generation, and about 100MW of distributed photovoltaic power plants planned and constructed in the plant using saline-alkali land, factory roof walls, parking sheds and the water area of Taizi Lake have been completed and connected to the grid. After all the above 650MW PV are put into operation, the installed capacity of new energy power generation will be greatly increased, which can effectively reduce carbon emissions, improve the quality of the local ecological environment, and promote regional green, low-carbon and high-quality development.
"In the context of the country's vigorous development of new quality productivity, we will focus on the green and low-carbon frontier, and advance the layout of new energy industries such as photovoltaic and energy storage. In the future, we will plan to build photovoltaic, energy storage, wind power and water electrolysis hydrogen production projects, continuously strengthen the scientific and technological innovation of the new energy industry chain, effectively activate the new quality productivity of Jinnan Iron and Steel, comprehensively improve the high-end, intelligent and green level of the group, and strive to be the pioneer of China's near-zero carbon steel enterprises. Hydrogen enlightens the future and win-win development
At present, new energy represented by hydrogen energy is providing a steady stream of green kinetic energy for new quality productivity. The "Shanxi Hydrogen Energy Industry Chain 2024 Action Plan" proposes to carry out key core technologies of hydrogen energy, promote the construction of hydrogen refueling stations in an orderly manner, and carry out the demonstration and application of hydrogen energy in the transportation field in an orderly manner, so as to accelerate the formation of new quality productivity.
In early spring and March, it was warm and cold. On the construction site of Jinnan Iron and Steel Comprehensive Energy Island Project, the hydrogen refueling machine canopy has begun to take shape, the frame structure of the station building has been capped, and the construction personnel are pouring concrete on the basis of the criss-crossing pipe trench...... The tense and busy construction scene of the integrated energy island echoes the installation of photovoltaic brackets on the wall of the factory not far away.
The comprehensive energy island project is an important measure for Jinnan Iron and Steel to accelerate the development of new quality productivity, and it is also a concrete practice to promote the green transformation and upgrading of energy in an all-round way. The project integrates hydrogenation, charging and refueling functions, with a design hydrogen refueling capacity of 9,000 kg per day and a maximum hydrogen refueling capacity of 12,000 kg, which is planned to be completed and put into use on June 30 this year. After the implementation of the project, it is of great significance to improve energy efficiency and help the construction of "Linfen Green Transportation Pilot City".
At present, Jinnan Iron and Steel has put into operation hundreds of hydrogen energy heavy trucks, and has built hydrogen refueling stations and zero-carbon logistics platforms. In terms of the future planning of the hydrogen energy industry, the Group will take the layout of the hydrogen refueling network as the starting point, work with strategic partners to promote the listing and trading of hydrogen refueling stations, and achieve high returns, high growth and high value-added of the industry through the market-oriented operation mode, so as to form a new model of industrial co-construction and win-win development The project will help steel and coking enterprises around Jinnan reduce transportation costs, reduce corporate carbon emissions, and achieve environmental protection performance and high-quality development.
