Yongjia Hetai Thermal Power obtained the national "green electricity" ID card

Recently, Zhejiang Hetai Thermal Power Co., Ltd., Yongjia County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, obtained the green power certificate issued by the National Energy Administration, which is the only professional certificate for the project obtained by the renewable energy power generation industry in Wenzhou.

The green power certificate is an electronic "identity card" for renewable energy and green power, and it is also the only proof of the environmental attributes of China's renewable energy electricity. One green certificate unit is equal to 1,000 kWh of renewable energy, and only power generation enterprises or power users who have obtained the "green electricity certificate" can prove that they are generating and using green electricity.  

Zhejiang Hetai Thermal Power Co., Ltd. is an environmental protection cogeneration enterprise, using general industrial solid waste as raw materials for incineration power generation and providing steam services to surrounding papermaking enterprises, belonging to biomass power generation, is a major investment attraction project in Yongjia County, and is also an important environmental protection project. In 2023, the company will supply 736,400 tons of steam to downstream enterprises, generate 52,683,400 kWh of on-grid electricity, dispose of 172,100 tons of solid waste, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 140,000 tons.

Pan Jianhui, chairman of Zhejiang Hetai Thermal Power Co., Ltd., said that the acquisition of green certificates can improve the economic benefits of enterprises and promote the environmental protection management and stable operation of enterprises on the one hand, and on the other hand, they can reduce carbon emissions for the local area, which is conducive to the local government's total carbon emission regulation and control, and contribute to the national strategy of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality".
