Recently, a major innovative equipment jointly developed by China Energy Construction Shanghai Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Jiao Tong University and has completely independent intellectual property rights-the first annual 600-ton carbon dioxide direct air capture (DAC) device "Carbon Trap CarbonBox" successfully passed the full-load reliability operation verification of a 100-ton module. A single module successfully captured 99% of high-concentration carbon dioxide directly from the air every year and exceeded 100 tons. It marks a major breakthrough in my country's direct air capture technology and fills my country's gap in the field of ultra-large-tonnage and high-concentration industrial-grade DAC engineering equipment. It is of great significance to promoting my country's realization of the "double carbon" strategy and energy green transformation.
