The Sino-Anhui joint biomass blending gasification test was successful

  Sinochem New Network News Recently, the second round of industrial tests of the project of "R&D and Industrial Demonstration of Key Technologies of SE Pulverized Coal Gasification Coupled with Biomass Energy" (Biomass Blended Gasification) of Zhong'an United Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. has been successful, which will help coal chemical enterprises to achieve coal reduction and clean utilization, reduce carbon emissions, and is of great significance to promoting the implementation of the green and low-carbon strategy of Sinopec's advanced energy and chemical industry.

  The purpose of this round of industrial test is to verify the data of the first round of test and evaluate the economic and technical indicators of biomass blending gasification. During the test, Zhong'an United blended biomass and coal for gasification in different proportions, and the highest proportion of mixed biomass reached 20%, and the test process device operated smoothly.

  The research of this project is based on the flow bed gasification technology of SE gasifier, and adopts the technical route of biomass and coal blending gasification. The airflow bed gasification technology has the advantages of high carbon conversion rate, no tar and large scale of single furnace, which is more suitable for biomass gasification to produce high-quality syngas, and is more innovative than the existing fixed-bed and fluidized bed co-gasification technology.

  The test used 2,400 tonnes of biomass to replace about 1,500 tonnes of coal based on its calorific value, which is equivalent to a reduction of about 3,100 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions based on coal combustion. Biomass energy is a zero-carbon resource, and the raw materials include agricultural and forestry wastes such as forest trees and straw, which are abundant in sources. Replace coal with biomass, and give full play to the function of biomass energy in the coal chemical industry to replace coal and reduce carbon.
