On August 1, the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Beijing City People's Government issued implementation opinions on comprehensively building a beautiful Beijing and accelerating the modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature. It is proposed that by 2027, the ecological environment will continue to improve, the land space development and protection pattern will be optimized, the concept of green development will become more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and positive progress will be made in the construction of Beautiful Beijing. By 2035, the ecological environment will be fundamentally improved, carbon emissions will drop significantly, a new pattern of land and space development and protection will be fully formed, green and low-carbon production and lifestyle will become a widespread consciousness of society, and Beautiful Beijing will be the first to be basically built. Looking forward to the middle of this century, a prosperous, democratic, civilized, harmonious and beautiful modern and powerful socialist capital will be built, and beautiful Beijing will become a model for sustainable development of megacities.
