This is one of the sites of the "Leading Danyang" photovoltaic power station project.
The "Leading Danyang" project not only allows villages that introduce photovoltaics to have a long-term stable rental income, but also promotes the development of village industries and helps villagers find jobs at their doorstep. The entire project is expected to transport about 190 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity to the outside world every year, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 200,000 tons and 68,600 tons of standard coal a year. Danyang's trip to "green" has made people's lives more prosperous.
Walking into Everbright Environmental Protection Energy (Danyang) Co., Ltd. located in Danbei Town, there is no cross-flow sewage or pungent acid smell. On the contrary, the road surface is clean and tidy, and the vegetation is lush. If you don't say it, it will be difficult to associate such a "garden-like factory" with "garbage disposal". But this is the site of the Danyang Domestic Waste Incineration Power Generation Project: the garbage will be put into an incinerator for burning and converted into electricity. Every day, 1500 tons of domestic waste and 80 tons of kitchen waste can be "swallowed" here.
Since the Everbright project, which "swallows" garbage and "spits" green electricity, was put into operation in Danyang in 2020. It has processed 356,000 tons of domestic garbage every year and provided more than 151 million kilowatt-hours of green power, equivalent to saving 56,000 tons of standard coal. At the same time, it has achieved annual carbon dioxide emission reduction of 140,000 tons, and the annual power generation meets the daily electricity needs of 35,000 residents. Last year, the company was successfully selected into the list of the first batch of "Provincial Ecological Culture Publicity and Demonstration Sites", where the concept of "double carbon" was embodied and visualized.
