Promote technological innovation in the industry and develop green and new quality productivity in the tanning industry. Completely eliminate the chrome tanning process of leather hides, promote the intelligent transformation of the leather goods industry, improve the wastewater reuse process of the wet spraying production line of film transfer leather, and complete the source replacement of the leather production spraying process and the oil edge process of belt enterprises, reduce the emission of volatile organic compounds by more than 1,000 tons, and reduce carbon emissions by about 4,197 tons. The ceramsite kiln cooperates with the innovation of polluted soil absorption process to realize the green transformation of the traditional leather goods industry.

Expand and extend the industrial chain and enhance the endogenous development momentum of the industry. Focus on promoting the transformation of wet blue leather processing technology of tanning enterprises, the innovative utilization of chromium-containing leather scraps, relying on the advantages of raw materials in the leather industry, promoting the transformation and upgrading of the traditional leather industry to the pet industry, and at the same time expanding and upgrading the pet industry track, focusing on the transformation of the pet products industry to a new model of cute pet economy, and opening up a new blue ocean of pet economy.

Increase cooperation between industry, academia, research and application to stimulate the low-carbon potential of the gelatin industry. Relying on scientific research platforms such as the Pingyang Innovation Center of Wuhan University, we have actively developed new microencapsulated gelatin products and automated processing technologies such as multi-effect concentration, and achieved carbon reduction of 60,000 tons. After the re-empowerment, the wastewater discharge of leather and leather goods was reduced by 48.5%, the discharge of chemical oxygen demand of the main pollutants was reduced by 79.4%, and the emission of ammonia nitrogen was reduced by 84.5%, and the water quality of the estuary section of the main stream of the Ao River was improved from inferior Class V to Class III. The traditional leather and leather goods industry has realized the butterfly change from "one leather" to "one chain".
