Promote carbon emission standardization and help enterprises transform low-carbon
Since becoming a national low-carbon pilot city in 2012, Wenzhou has attached great importance to the development of low-carbon economy, resolutely curbed the blind development of high-energy-consuming, high-emission, and low-level projects, and actively built a green and low-carbon development demonstration zone on the eastern coast.
In November last year, Wenzhou took the lead in releasing carbon emission reference values for the total industrial output value of "59+1" industry units, providing clear guidance for enterprises to save energy and reduce emissions. It is understood that the "59+1" industry reference values for carbon emissions per unit of industrial output value are effective supplements and improvements to nine key industry reference standards issued by the country and Zhejiang Province earlier, including thermal power, steel, petrochemicals, papermaking, building materials, printing and dyeing, chemicals, chemical fiber, and nonferrous metals.
