"Organize and complete the task of ecological and environmental protection inspection in five places (prefectures and cities) including Altay Prefecture, Karamay City, and Hotan Prefecture, and achieve full coverage of the first round of inspections. Recently, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region issued the "Key Points of the Autonomous Region's Ecological Environment Work in 2024" (hereinafter referred to as the "Key Points"), which put forward the main goals of the autonomous region's ecological environment in 2024 and also clarified 23 key tasks in seven aspects.

The "Key Points" clarified 23 key tasks in seven aspects. At the same time, the "Key Points" also clarified 39 major matters. This includes promoting the formulation and revision of laws, regulations and local standards, such as promoting the legislative process of the Regulations on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Hazardous Wastes in the Autonomous Region, promoting the issuance of the Implementation Plan for Comprehensively Promoting the Construction of Beautiful Xinjiang and the Action Plan for the Improvement of the Atmospheric Environment in the Autonomous Region "Kui-Du-Wu" Region for 2024-2025, and organizing and carrying out pilot demonstrations and guidance in key areas, such as the pilot project of collaborative innovation in pollution reduction and carbon reduction in the Midong Chemical Industry Park in Urumqi, and the pilot project of "waste-free oilfield" construction.
