Yao Lin, president of the China Iron and Steel Association and chairman of China Mineral Resources Group, delivered a speech at the 13th China International Steel Conference held in Shanghai on the 2nd and pointed out that Chinese steel companies have increased investment, continued to promote ultra-low emission transformation projects, and actively implemented Extreme energy efficiency projects have made great progress.

In order to promote the high-quality development of China's steel industry, the China Iron and Steel Association has proposed the "1231" industry development goal and the "232" key work promotion system. Among them, the "2" in "1231" means adhering to the two development themes of green and low-carbon development and intelligent manufacturing; the "3" in "232" means continuing to promote the three major projects of "ultra-low emissions","extreme energy efficiency" and "digital transformation". Transformation project.

Yao Lin said that Chinese steel companies have increased investment, continued to promote ultra-low emission transformation projects, and actively implemented extreme energy efficiency projects, and made great progress. As of the end of June this year, a total of 140 steel companies with a crude steel production capacity of more than 600 million tons have completed or partially completed ultra-low emission transformation and evaluation and monitoring announcements; the average investment per ton of steel involved in the transformation is approximately 466.36 yuan, and the average environmental protection operation cost per ton of steel is approximately 226.45 yuan. In the first half of this year, energy conservation investment in key enterprises accounted for 7.0%, an increase of 0.9 percentage points year-on-year.

Yao Lin said that statistics from the China Steel Association show that in the first half of this year, the total energy consumption of key statistical member companies dropped by 1.8% year-on-year, and the comprehensive energy consumption per ton of steel dropped by 0.16% year-on-year. The comparable energy consumption per ton of steel and sintering, pelletizing, ironmaking, The energy consumption of major processes such as steelmaking and rolling showed a downward trend. The reduction in energy consumption has brought about a reduction in corporate carbon emissions, and has also inspired a group of outstanding companies to strive to carry out technical practice and management innovation in the field of energy conservation and carbon reduction.

Yao Lin pointed out that at present, the development of China's steel industry is facing some challenges and difficulties, but we are still sparing no effort to promote the research and development of ultra-low emissions, extreme energy efficiency, and green and low-carbon technologies. The work goal of ultra-low emission transformation is: by 2025, the ultra-low emission transformation of steel enterprises in key regions will be basically completed, and the country will strive to complete the transformation of more than 80% of its production capacity. The work goal of extreme energy efficiency is: by 2025, the proportion of production capacity above the energy efficiency benchmark (advanced) level of ironmaking and steelmaking processes in the steel industry will reach 30%, and the production capacity below the energy efficiency benchmark level will be basically cleared. The industry has significant energy conservation and carbon reduction effects. Low carbon development capabilities have been greatly improved.
