2024 Tianjin International Shipping Industry Expo opens
From July 10 to 13, the 2024 Tianjin International Shipping Industry Expo will be held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center of Tianjin City. With the theme of "Navigation to the World, Running the Future-Smooth Domestic and International Dual Circulations", this expo focuses on the entire shipping industry chain and displays a new development model for the shipping industry in multiple dimensions. Transformation to green is one of the development directions.
At the meeting, China Ocean Shipping Group demonstrated its upcoming China Shipbuilding Liuhe Aquatic Green Integrated Service Area. The service area is located on the Yangtze River Longtan Waterway in Nanjing City, with a total length of about 320 meters. According to the relevant person in charge of the exhibition site, the service area has two major characteristics in terms of greening. First, a total of 480 photovoltaic power generation panels were laid on the deck of the service area, realizing spontaneous self-use of electricity. Second, the service area has transformed some cabins into sewage tanks with a storage capacity of 120 cubic meters, and equipped with intelligent garbage recycling devices and garbage receiving points on the ship to receive and dispose of domestic sewage and garbage from passing ships, and regularly carried out by third parties. Transshipment and disposal reduces pollution to the Yangtze River.
National Energy Group demonstrated my country's first 10,000-ton methanol dual fuel integrated power propulsion inland bulk carrier on site, providing solutions for implementing the "gasifying Yangtze River" strategy and achieving the "double carbon" goal. "The ship is equipped with the country's first 1000-volt integrated electric propulsion system. The entire main engine generates electricity from methanol and is equipped with four 600-kilowatt generating sets. It is estimated that it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 16,000 tons throughout the life cycle." Guo Hua, chief engineer of the group, introduced. In addition, the group has also completed independent research and development of full-process dust control technology for coal ports, achieving full-chain intelligent management and near-zero emission of coal dust.
In addition, New Milestone Group also demonstrated its independently developed 5400HP pure electric port tugboat project at the exhibition. The project has completed the construction of 4 ships since the beginning of the year. The two sets of rudder propellers equipped with the tugboat are driven by frequency conversion motors, achieving a zero breakthrough for Tianjin Port in new energy ships. SF Express Group also demonstrated relevant designs for green and low-carbon transformation in terms of logistics and transportation. The Group has set up packaging laboratories to reduce the generation of consumables and post-paid packaging waste, increased the investment and use of new energy vehicles, and used electricity instead of fuel to reduce Carbon emissions, while using big data technology to calculate and optimize transportation routes and reduce the generation of unnecessary routes. The Group has also carried out circular and low-carbon design in many aspects such as packaging, transportation and transit to achieve green logistics and transportation.
It is understood that more than 420 companies participated in the exhibition, with 9 major theme exhibition areas including the International Port Exhibition Area, the Shipping Service Exhibition Area, and the Port-Industry-City Integration Development Achievement Exhibition Area. The total exhibition area reaches 50,000 square meters. Exhibitors include the world's top 500 companies, listed companies, well-known ports, foreign-funded enterprises and industry associations, etc., fully display the equipment, technology and services of the shipping industry chain.
