Recently, the launch ceremony of the hydrogen energy heavy truck "Hangzhou Bay High-speed Hydrogen Corridor" was held in the port area of Zhoushan Port Town, Ningbo, and the first batch of 6 hydrogen heavy-duty trucks carried containers from Zhenhai Port District to Ningbo Qianwan New Area.

It is worth noting that this batch of hydrogen energy heavy trucks uses hydrogen fuel cell systems and hydrogen fuel cell stacks independently innovated by enterprises in Zhenhai District. According to reports, these hydrogen heavy trucks have a total nuclear load of 49 tons and a cruising range of 700 kilometers, and their hydrogen fuel cell systems have the advantages of high efficiency, high reliability, low hydrogen consumption, and can withstand plateau and cold environments.

As a key area for the development of Ningbo's hydrogen energy industry, Zhenhai District is attracting more and more enterprises to settle down. In November 2023, 7 enterprises involved in the fields of hydrogen energy storage power generation, fuel cell systems, battery stacks, and zero-carbon logistics platforms signed contracts to settle in Zhaobaoshan Street, and will invest 1.2 billion yuan within three years to build a "Zhaobao Hydrogen Valley" around the entire industrial chain of hydrogen end, manufacturing end, and application end.

With the help of the "Hangzhou Bay High-speed Hydrogen Corridor" project plan, hydrogen energy heavy trucks will continue to depart from Ningbo Zhoushan Port Town and other places to Jiaxing, Hangzhou, Shaoxing and other places to transport goods back and forth. Compared with traditional diesel heavy trucks, hydrogen energy heavy trucks use hydrogen fuel cells with hydrogen as the power source, and the emissions are only water, truly achieving zero carbon emissions and zero pollution. Compared with traditional fuel-powered heavy trucks, each hydrogen heavy truck can reduce carbon emissions by at least 120 tons per year, and is expected to reduce emissions by 12,000 tons per year based on the "Hangzhou Bay Expressway Hydrogen Corridor" running 100 hydrogen heavy trucks at full capacity.
