Recently, Zhejiang Ningbo Zhoushan Port Beilun Second Container Terminal Co., Ltd. officially launched the intelligent charging dispatching system for electric equipment to alleviate the problem of "difficult charging" of electric container trucks at the terminal, and add new momentum to promote the energy transformation and upgrading of the terminal and build a green boutique terminal.

At two o'clock in the afternoon, in Ningbo Zhoushan Port Beilun Second Container Terminal Co., Ltd., more than a dozen brand-new energy trucks lined up in a row. Not far away, a new energy truck driver received a reminder to charge and change the car, drove the car to the charging site, charged the electric truck, and replaced the truck according to the reminder to continue the operation.

"Last year, our company introduced 28 electric container trucks to replace fuel transport vehicles with new energy electric container trucks to promote energy conservation and emission reduction in the port. Sun Keqi, head of the intelligent charging and dispatching project of electric equipment of Beilun Second Container Terminal Co., Ltd., said that the replacement of these 28 electric container trucks can reduce carbon emissions by about 462 tons per year, which is equivalent to reducing the carbon emissions of 171 cars with a displacement of 1.6 liters for a year.

It is understood that Beilun Second Container Terminal Co., Ltd. was established in 2000 and has been 24 years since then, and many equipment and vehicles have been unable to meet the existing development needs. To this end, the terminal has started the road of transformation to an intelligent and green port. Independent research and development and the introduction of new technologies, new equipment, the application of new energy trucks is just one of the epitome, trial operation so far has achieved remarkable results.

"Since the system was put into operation, compared with the original manual work, the efficiency of the terminal has been significantly improved as a whole. Sun Keqi introduced that the system not only comprehensively considers factors such as the busyness of production operations and the balanced charging of the truck team, but also combines the prediction of the future power use of the vehicle, and realizes scientific scheduling and charging in the way of "busy production with less instructions and off-peak charging during idle periods", so as to further improve the utilization rate of electric trucks.

"At present, the bridge crane and gantry crane on our wharf are gradually replacing manual work with automatic, and the bridge crane and gantry crane driver can operate remotely, one person and one post, and three traditional gantry cranes can be controlled at the same time, which greatly improves the work efficiency, and has completed the transformation of 21 units. Zhang Luhua, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Beilun Second Container Terminal Co., Ltd., said that in the future, the company will also rely on artificial intelligence, Beidou system, automation, blockchain and other technologies to upgrade the original traditional bulk cargo terminal, gradually turn it into a modern green port, and continuously improve the core competitiveness of the old terminal.
