Recently, the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission issued a notice on the "List of Green and Low-Carbon Advanced Technology Demonstration Projects (the First Batch)", and the demonstration project for the comprehensive utilization of tailings solid waste resources implemented by Anshan Iron and Steel Mining Resources Utilization (Anshan) Co., Ltd. and the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was selected into the list of the first batch of green and low-carbon advanced technology demonstration projects in the country, which is the only selected project in Liaoning.

This selection is a full affirmation and ardent expectation of Angang Mining's work closely focusing on serving the country's major strategic deployment, focusing on improving the supply guarantee capacity of iron ore resources, and promoting the green and low-carbon development of the industry. As a collaborative demonstration project of pollution reduction and carbon reduction, the project adopts a green and low-carbon process technology system of "pre-enrichment-fluidized magnetization roasting-magnetic separation" to solve the production problems of difficult to process powder and difficult to control the conversion rate of traditional shaft furnaces and rotary kilns, and can achieve low temperature rapid response, low energy consumption, easy process control and high phase conversion rate. The main construction of pre-enrichment system, grinding system, concentration system, coarse concentrate filtration system, fluidized magnetization roasting system, natural gas reforming system, concentrate filtration system and other supporting facilities. After the completion of the project, it can process 24 million tons of iron tailings per year and produce 2.2 million tons of iron concentrate with 65% content, which is equivalent to the construction of an iron ore mining and dressing complex with an annual output of 8.5 million tons, which can reduce carbon emissions by about 830,000 tons.
