CITIC Environmental Technology made a wonderful appearance at the 2024MIECF
From March 28 to 30, the 2024 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (2024MIECF), hosted by the Macao SAR Government and themed "Promoting Green Transformation and Achieving the Dual Carbon Goals", was held at The Venetian Macao's Cotai Expo and Exhibition.

As a special invited exhibitor, CITIC Environmental Technology was led by Luo Wei, Vice President of the company, to demonstrate to representatives and guests from governments and enterprises from all over the world the technical advantages and achievements of CITIC Environmental Technology in the research and development of membrane equipment and the application of membrane technology, difficult industrial wastewater treatment, large-scale municipal sewage treatment and high-quality water supply, circular economy industrial park and other business fields, so as to promote the construction of the green "Belt and Road".
Actively carry out joint construction and exchanges
On March 29, Luo Wei led a team to visit the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region (hereinafter referred to as the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macao) and held talks with Yang Hao, Deputy Director of the Economic Affairs Department and Dong Wei, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macao. Yang Hao congratulated CITIC Environmental Technology on taking over the operation and maintenance services of the Macau Peninsula Sewage Treatment Plant, affirmed CITIC Environmental Technology's active participation in Macao's environmental governance, and believed that CITIC Environmental Technology fully fulfills its responsibilities as a central enterprise and provides a safe and clean pollution control guarantee for Macao's economic and social development, and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macao will create a better environment for enterprises to develop in Macao. Luo Wei thanked the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macao for its continuous recognition and support to CITIC Environmental Technology, and introduced the business development of CITIC Environmental Technology and the operation of the Macao Peninsula Sewage Treatment Plant.
On March 29, CITIC Environmental Technology was invited to participate in the green technology and carbon trading matching event, and carried out international environmental protection exchanges with the Waste anagement Association of Malaysia and other units to discuss the development of the environmental protection industry and the possibility of future cooperation. The Malaysian Waste Management Association said that this year is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, and the two countries share similar ideas, interests and people-to-people exchanges.

Contribute to the construction of a green Greater Bay Area
During the exhibition, CITIC Environmental Technology's booth received great attention from government departments and industry organizations such as the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, the Environmental Protection Bureau, the Hong Kong Environment and Ecology Bureau, and the China Environmental Protection Machinery Industry Association. During the visit to the booth, relevant leaders of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute and the Environmental Protection Bureau expressed their gratitude to CITIC Environmental Technology for its attention and active participation in Macao's environmental governance and construction, and hoped that the company would continue to give full play to its technological and operational advantages, bring advanced environmental protection technology and project management experience to Macao, and work together to build a green Greater Bay Area
On February 1 this year, CITIC Environmental Technology-Zhenyao Construction Cooperative Entity officially took over the operation and maintenance services of the Macau Peninsula Sewage Treatment Plant, which is the first time that CITIC Environmental Technology has entered the Macau market and is of great significance to the company's expansion to the regions along the "Belt and Road". The Macao Peninsula Sewage Treatment Plant is the first and largest public sewage treatment plant in operation in Macao, and is one of the important environmental infrastructure facilities in Macao, with a treatment capacity of 154,000 cubic meters per day, covering most of the Macao Peninsula.

The low-carbon booth won the Excellence Award
In this exhibition, CITIC Environmental Technology earnestly complied with the requirements of the Macao Environmental Protection Bureau for the disposal of waste at the exhibition, did a good job in reducing waste at the source, reducing electricity consumption for lighting, reducing the number of newly purchased booth materials, reducing the amount of garbage, practicing the concept of "green exhibition", and won the "Environmental Protection Booth Commendation Award" Excellence Award.
In 2010, Macao pioneered the "Environmental Booth Commendation Award" for the purpose of carbon reduction, and has been selected as one of the top 9 cases in the world of UFI's Sustainable Development Recognition Award.
Supported by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the 2024MIECF covers an area of 12,000 square meters, with five exhibition areas and more than 400 exhibitors. Over the course of 3 days, more than 20 thematic events will be held, bringing together experts, scholars and industry representatives from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Portuguese-speaking countries and Southeast Asian countries to share and discuss topics such as global environmental protection and development, green transformation, ESG, green finance and green technology industries, helping to explore international environmental protection business opportunities and promote green and sustainable development.
