Actively promote green publicity and truly practice low-carbon life

    On May 15, the Dawu County Branch of Xiaogan Ecological Environment Bureau carried out a national low-carbon day publicity activity with the theme of "Green and Low-carbon Beautiful China" at the beautiful landscape bridge of Penghe Park.

    The focus of this publicity is to carry out the popularization of science on climate change, publicize the successful experience and advanced practices of low-carbon cities, climate investment and financing pilots, and climate-resilient city pilot construction, introduce the basic positioning, policy objectives and construction progress of the national carbon market, popularize the impact and risks of climate change, publicize the specific actions of the public to practice the concept of green and low-carbon development, typical experience and practices in response to climate change and the results of international cooperation, mobilize the whole society to widely participate in low-carbon actions, and enhance the awareness of the whole society to respond to climate change.

    During the activity, the sub-bureau posted propaganda slogans, set up publicity boards, distributed environmental protection knowledge publicity materials to the public, carried out environmental protection laws and regulations, policy consultation activities, and signed by 100 people on the spot, organized the "ecological volunteer service team" to communicate and coordinate the way for the masses of residents to participate in low-carbon actions, actively broadened the publicity situation and content, and continuously improved the practice of low-carbon life and green development concept by residents and enterprises.

    In recent years, the Dawu County Party Committee and County Government have attached great importance to ecological environmental protection and continuously increased the intensity of ecological environmental protection. The county party committee and county government have adhered to the development concept of "red highland and green rise", and continuously strengthened the construction of ecological villages and ecological towns, so that green and low-carbon can be deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

    During the publicity, the sub-bureau distributed more than 300 environmentally friendly handbags, delivered more than 500 copies of environmental protection brochures, and distributed more than 500 boxes of paper for "comprehensively promoting the construction of a beautiful China", which greatly improved the awareness and participation rate of residents.

    In the next step, the sub-bureau will actively combine its daily work and go deep into factories, mines, residential communities, and schools to carry out green and low-carbon publicity activities in various situations, so as to ensure that ecological environmental protection is practiced in every bit of life and work.
