Street and Town Action in Jiading District, Shanghai holds propaganda and education activities| National Ecology Day
On August 15, on the occasion of National Ecology Day, Jiading District of Shanghai City actively responded to the theme of "Accelerating the Comprehensive Green Transformation of Economic and Social Development." All streets and towns took action one after another to organize a series of colorful and entertaining publicity studiesXiActivities to lead citizens and friends to jointly promote green ecological development.
The Jiading District Ecological Environment Bureau joined hands with Nanxiang Town to successfully hold the theme activity of "Green the Future, Building an Ecological Dream Together" at Shanghai Jiading Nanxiang Water Environment Purification Co., Ltd. At the event site, multimedia images in the Water Environment Science Museum were vividly displayed. The interaction between smart devices and games made the children seem to be in a wonderful world of water. They not only intuitively understood the cycle and preciousness of water resources, but also learned water-saving tips, effectively spreading the importance of water environment protection. In addition, the children also experienced the sinking reclaimed water plant firsthand and gained a preliminary understanding of the sewage treatment process.
Malu Town focuses on "low-carbon and simple lifestyle" and popularizes the knowledge of water, electricity, and green travel to the public through a combination of special lectures and practical activities. During the lecture, by calculating the carbon emissions of daily behaviors, everyone was deeply aware of the impact of personal behaviors on the environment. At the same time, activities such as plant identification, DBH measurement and carbon sink calculation allow participants to intuitively feel the key role of plants in carbon sinks. The environmentally friendly travel painting competition and low-carbon family evaluation have stimulated children and families 'awareness of environmental protection and brought green concepts home.
Xuxing Town advocates environmental protection behaviors such as low-carbon office, low-carbon travel, low-carbon life and saving electricity through the method of "putting posters into government agencies, enterprises, and communities", and guides all sectors of society to establish the concept of saving resources and protecting the environment.
